Apple on Thursday contacted US media members to invite them to an event on 14 October at the company's headquarters.
The company is expected to introduce new models of its Mac laptops. This confirms widespread reports emanating mainly from MacRumors and 9 to 5 Mac.
The invitations read "The spotlight turns to notebooks," featuring a partially obscured notebook PC coming out of the shadows with a light upon the Apple logo.
