Apple seems set to introduce an all-new range of laptops manufactured using an entirely new 21st century manufacturing process, at least that's this week's biggest opening rumour.
It is being alleged that Apple will introduce the new laptops at a special event on 14 October. It is being claimed that Apple has created a brand-new process to sculpt casings for products out of aircraft-grade aluminium, using a system that carves the pieces out of a single block using lasers and water-jets.
This means the systems won't need screws to join halves together, that some components can be integrated to the chassis, and the end result is a strong and robust system.
There's no way of telling if these claims are true, of course, and Apple won't comment on rumour or speculation, but the website claiming the report has a good track record for such claims.
