Kiloo and Manomio intros Commodore 64 Emulator for iPhone

Developers Kiloo and Manomio have introduced an official and fully licensed Commodore 64 Emulator for iPhone and iPod touch.

The Commodore 64, more commonly known as the C64, was an 8-bit home computer released by Commodore International in 1982, costing $595 at the time.

The unit featured some then state of the art video gaming, which iPhone application C64 promises to faithfully reproduce.

C64 for iPhone and iPod touch offers full speed Commodore 64 emulator gaming, fullscreen portrait and landscape play and classic SID sounds.

"We are excited to bring the authentic Commodore 64 gaming experience to millions of Apple iPhone and iPod touch users globally." said Jacob Moller, Chief Executive Officer at Kiloo. "It is now possible to re-experience the golden days of computer gaming right in the palm of your hand anywhere and at anytime."

"The C64 was all about good game play and it has been fantastic to participate in the creation of what is possibly the best retro gaming experience on the iPhone," added Stuart Carnie, Chief Technical Officer at Manomio.

Kiloo and Manomio plan to roll-out a number of gaming classics over the forthcoming months.

Available from the Apple iTunes App Store C64 costs 2.99 and requires the iPhone 2.2 Software Update or later.

A dedicated site www.c64iphone.com is also available.
