Hauppauge introduces PCTV brand with Mac compatible TV-solutions

Hauppauge, a worldwide developer and manufacturer of PC TV solutions is introducing its latest TV-premium brand, PCTV.

This announcement follows the company’s recent takeover of Pinnacle’s PCTV product-line (Avid Technology).

Hauppauge will expand its offerings with products such as the PCTV NanoStick, the PCTV Dual SAT Pro PCI 400i, PCTV Telescope and Mac compatible PCTV NanoStick Ultimate.

The PCTV NanoStick Ultimate offers an inexpensive way to watch digital terrestrial television, commonly known as Freeview, on a Mac via a small USB DVB-T tuner.

Ralf Koczorowski, director of marketing in Europe, said:

“With immediate effect, we are offering our customers both Hauppauge WinTV and also PCTV-Products, two absolutely different product lines incorporating both hardware and software, which will enormously expand our range of TV-solutions for PCs, Notebooks and Macs available. The following development of both brands will continue to revive the current market supply.”

Both product lines are currently being developed independently, with support provided separately for both say Hauppauge.

WinTV products will still be developed predominately in the USA, whilst PCTV products will be developed under the name PCTV Systems in Braunschweig, Germany add Hauppauge.
