Comic Relief gets 20p per iTunes Top 40 track bought today

Apple's iTunes Store is offering a host of content in support of Red Nose Day, including a donation of 20p for each Top 40 track bought today.

The collection includes a collection of the Best of Comic Relief, Red Nose Day 2009 podcasts and iPhone Apps related to this year's fund-raising campaign.

Apple has pledged to donate 10p for every track in the Top 40 that is downloaded from 13-14 March. Each record label will also donate 10p per track. This means 20p will be donated for each Top 40 song downloaded.

Download episodes in the Best of Comic Relief and Apple will donate up to 6.75 for a 7.99 TV compilation.

Content available includes sketches from Blackadder, Catherine Tate, Dr Who, Ricky Gervais, Little Britain, Men Behaving Badly, Dawn French, Borat and Ali G.
