Sky Player TV, which can be purchased on its own without the need for a subscription to Sky's digital TV service, costs 15 a month. However, Sky TV subscribers can access the online content for free.

Sky also revealed the package will be expanded with further channels in the coming months.

"The continued expansion of Sky Player puts choice and control over what and how to watch, firmly in people's hands; whether they're already familiar with Sky TV or just want to watch the content we offer online," said Griff Parry, Sky's Director of On-demand.
