1&1 Internet intros Dynamic Cloud Server service

1&1 Internet, billed as the world's largest web host by known servers, has introduced a new Dynamic Cloud Server service.

The service promises highly flexible configuration options. RAM, CPU cores and disk space can be individually customised and as needed adapted during the whole contract lifetime, with configuration options adapted via a control panel by the user.

Several Linux variants are offered as well as the Windows Server 2008 in Web or Standard edition, and the Windows 7 version "R2". With the Dynamic Cloud Server, it will also be possible, for the first time, to change between Linux and Windows operating systems.

For standard applications such as email, data base, web hosting or game server, 1&1 still offers optimised default settings.

The basic 1&1 package of the Dynamic Cloud Server is priced at 29.99 per month plus VAT and includes 1 Core, 1 GB RAM and 100 GB disk space.

Every additional processor kernel, further RAM or 100 GB disk space is available for 5 per month plus VAT.

The minimum contract term (MCT) for the Dynamic Cloud Server can be selected as either 1 or 12 months. Additional CPU store, RAM or disk space can be changed daily 1&1 notes.

As a special introductory offer, the 1&1 Dynamic Cloud Server Basic package is offered free for the first 3 months.
