iLoveDesign.com and Quark have introduced a new free iPhone and iPod Touch application aimed at designers on the move.
Based around the popular creative online community, the iLoveDesign.com application enables designers to share projects, inspiration and opinions anywhere.
iPhone and iPod touch users can browse, share thoughts on and rate thousands of projects from the iLoveDesign.com website.
According to Quark key features include:- News feed - See the latest activity on the site- Gallery - Easily browse and interact with design projects including:Designs of the week; Featured projects; My projects; Most popular projects;Show me random projects; Latest uploads- My account - Log into your iLoveDesign.com account to see and show-offyour projects and comment on and rate other people’s designs
Quark notes you don’t need to be a member of iLoveDesign.com to use the iPhone application, but registration at www.ilovedesign.com is free and unlocks additional functionality in the application.
Members of the iLoveDesign.com community can upload their artwork, create an online portfolio with their own unique URL, access exclusive interviews and video content with famous designers such as David Carson and Chip Kidd, enter regular design competitions, and interact with other users in the gallery by commenting on and rating their work. There are no strings attached.
The site created for designers and kept up-to-date by designers. "It doesn't matter what software you use," Quark insists.
"iLoveDesign.com has seen tremendous success since its launch in 2008. It continues to inspire and excite graphic designers and provide a forum to share ideas, comment, critique, and celebrate great design," said Terry Welty, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Quark.
"Now with the iPhone app, they can be inspired by designs wherever they are, engage with other designers and take their design portfolio with them to showcase to potential clients or share with friends".
Available from the Apple iTunes App Store, iLoveDesign is free and requires the iPhone 2.2.1 Software Update.
