The winners of the BETT Awards 2010, for educational technology suppliers, were announced last night at a ceremony on the opening day of BETT, the world’s largest educational technology event.
Organised by Emap, Becta and BESA (the British Educational Suppliers Association), the BETT Awards recognise and celebrate the best and most innovative technology solutions available for UK classrooms.
"Once again we have been highly impressed with the improving standards and innovative nature of the resources," said Stephen Lucey, executive director for strategic technologies at Becta.
"We were looking for innovation which offers new opportunities and pushes the boundaries and we definitely saw that. I do hope these resources inspire teachers and help learners to personalise their learning to get the most out of their lessons and attain their full potential."
Celebrating its 26th anniversary, BETT has evolved into the world’s largest technology in education event, with over 30,000 visitors and around 700 educational exhibitors in 2009.
Running until Saturday 16 January, BETT is free to attend at Olympia.
