A new website aims to showcase the best of the best in well produced and designed iPhone applications currently available free and paid on the Apple iTunes App Store.

app.itize.us launched earlier this month and already includes dozens of recommendations.


It is intentionally a very small hand picked selection insist the curators, highlighting some applications that are effectively lost due the sheer numbers of downloads available.

In November last year, Apple announced that developers have created over 100,000 applications, with 3 billion downloads announced earlier this month.

app.itize.us offers a range of categories to browse including Art, Collectibles, Experimental, Game, Graphic Design, Kids, Lifestyle, Music, Photography, Social, Travel, Typography and Utility.
