Apple Tablet won't launch until June - analyst

The Apple Tablet may not launch until June, according to an analyst.

Kaufman Bros analyst Shaw Wu believes that issues with battery life and durability may necessitate a delay.

He warns that we may see as much as a six month delay before the device hits the shops, somewhat akin to the launch of the original iPhone.

Wu is sure that the Tablet device will be announced at the event on 27 January, however. "From our understanding, it is not intended to replace a Mac but be somewhat of a 'super' iPod touch where video, gaming, web browsing, ebooks and the ability to run multiple apps would be enhanced with the much larger screen," he told Apple Insider.

Wu expects that WiFi is more likely than 3G for network access.
